Hope Centre Orphanage, Nepal – an illustrated talk

The Hope Centre orphanage in Nepal is home to 30 children. New Futures Nepal empowers disadvantaged children and adults of Nepal by raising funds for initiatives that promote health, education and independence and supports social integration for children with disabilities to live in the community and within safe and loving homes. This will be an enlightening and enjoyable talk about the charity’s work. There will be a raffle at the end of the evening too.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who braved the damp weather and came to our fair this year.  It did not look too good in the morning but as predicted (well, checking 5 different forecasts to see which one fitted best did help!) it did really clear up and was dry for the whole afternoon. We even manged to take the marquees down that evening. And despite the weather, we managed to raise over £1000 for the village hall alone.

Thank to sponsors TEF Transport and Dalby Firewood, all the raffle prize donors and everyone who came – you all helped to make it a really fun and worthwhile day for all the village organisations, clubs, enterprises and fundraisers.
