Notice from EBBERSTON with YEDINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL

Posted on behalf of Michael Eyre, current chair of the Parish Council

The Parish Council is aware that unofficial notices have been posted throughout Ebberston village this week regarding Coronavirus lockdown measures. These may have offended or caused concern with some residents. Parish Councillors have been approached by residents voicing their concerns.

Acting on advice from NYCC, the Parish Council informed the Police.  The Police took the matter seriously and have spoken to the relevant household.  The Police have advised that the notices were inappropriate and it was unacceptable to publish someone’s name and address.

The Parish Council hopes that this course of action will prevent any future issue like this occurring and also give residents that may have felt intimidated or concerned peace of mind.

The Parish Council advises to follow current Government guidelines regarding Coronavirus.
