The Village Hall

Ebberston Village Hall from Main Street

The Village Hall Committee meets several times a year to discuss matters pertaining to the management and use of the hall. Committee members comprise of nominated representatives from the various user groups within the village. The hall is designed for the community and its use is necessary for the ongoing vitality of village life. New community uses, particularly those with which you are happy to assist, are doubly welcome.

Ebberston with Yedingham and Bickley Parish Council maintains its own website and all minutes, councillor details etc. can be found there.

Worship

We have two active places of worship in the village, the Church of England St Marys to the north of the village (see https://www.achurchnearyou.com/church/19318/) and the Methodist Chapel on Main Street. See the newsletter for service information, etc.

Ebberston Sportsfield

The sportsfield at the south of the village is an outdoor space which can be utilised for many sports and has areas for football, a tennis court, a cricket field as well as a playpark. The sportsfield is managed entirely by volunteers and supported by fundraising and occasional grants. Find the Sportsfield on Facebook.

Village Groups and Organisations

In Ebberston there is a regular Craft Group at the hall, a regular Coffee Morning at the chapel, a Cricket Club, a social Golf group, a Village Tidy group, and a Yoga Group. Have I missed anything?!

Many meet regularly in the village hall or check out the latest issue of the Newsletter where all the groups and organisations write about their plans, activities and events.

Village Pub

Ebberston’s pub is called The Grapes and it is located on the High Street. https://www.thegrapesebberston.co.uk/
